Slick Stick allows you to paint shiny, slick, or slippery surfaces with ease! Surfaces like PVC, glass, Formica, laminate, metal, and more are easily painted and stay painted.

Slick Stick is a problem solving product and not needed for every project.

First, clean your piece. Paint one coat of Slick Stick and let dry for 2-3 hours. Apply a second coat of Slick Stick and let dry overnight.

Dixie Belle Paint is very thick and a little goes a long way. The longer the lid stays off, the thicker it will get. If you'd like it thinner, no worries, just add a little water and stir. Add too much water? No worries, just leave lid off and it will thicken up. Whatever consistency you desire, Dixie Belle Paint will work for you!

Distress a little too much for your taste? That's okay! Just paint right over that area and start again!

Most pieces will take one to two coats for full coverage. Sometimes, after the first coat dries it will look blotchy. Don't freak out! After the second coat, it will be beautiful!

Sometimes you will see brushstrokes, don't worry, as the paint dries, they will disappear. Dixie Belle Paint is the best paint for self-levelling.

There is no particular need to seal, after its 30-day cure time, Dixie Belle Paint is durable just the way it is. However, if your project is likely to get above average wear and tear, consider applying a Clear Coat or Gator Hide for added protection. If you’re painting on a shiny surface (eg. glass, veneer, melamine, tile, ceramic, metal, plastic etc) then we would advise that you use Dixie Belle’s adhesion primer, Slick Stick, prior to painting for a long-lasting, well-adhered result.
